Volunteers

Calling all volunteers!

Cy-Fair College is hosting the Gulf Coast Regional Science Olympiad on our campus March 26th, 2011.  The Science Olympiad is a nonprofit organization developed to improve the quality of science education, increase student interest in science, and provide recognition of outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers. All of this is done through interscholastic competitions where students in grades 6-12 can compete against other regional teams. From here, the wining teams will travel to the State and possibly National Olympiad competitions.

We need many volunteers to help us host this event!  We are looking for general volunteers to help us:

  1. prepare student team packages before the event
  2. set-up areas for competition, registration, and judges lounge
  3. place signs for parking, to identify each building, and for each event
  4. register each team and their coaches
  5. verify scores for each judged event
  6. set-up the stage and theater for the awards ceremony
  7. clean up after the event
